Liatårnet is the highest point on the island Sotra.
Approx. point 32 V 292765 6698843 - located to the north-east, on the south-west slopes of Lyderhorn.
Liatårnet is the highest
point in Fjell municipality, and is also the highest point on the island
Sotra (consists of the two municipalities Fjell and Sund).
There are several routes to the summit, but the trade route follows the
service road to the radar station 750 metres north of Liatårnet, and
then a fine path to the summit.
At the summit you will find a trigonometric point, and a few metres
north of this there is a cairn with a summit registration book.
