Søre Gullfjelltoppen is
better known as Sydpolen (the South Pole), a name which reflects the
location towards south in the Gullfjellet massif.
Like the other Gullfjellet tops above approximately 900 metres the
summit area is in practice free of vegetation, and it all looks very
barren.
